Join TerraSophia LLC for a tour of an on-going low-tech erosion control and process based restoration project along Mill Creek near Moab UT.
Mill Creek has experienced multiple major flood events since this project began in 2018, creating a unique and powerful outdoor learning classroom. Participants will see a range of examples of Zeedyk-like rock structure, brush-mineral treatments, and riparian woody species pole plantings. We will practice reading the landscape and discuss what our observations mean from a watershed and community resilience perspective.
The tour is FREE, but registration is required. Space is limited.
Contact Jeff Adams at Jeffrey (at) TerraSophia (dot) com for more information and to register.
This tour will be held outdoors in a wilderness-like setting with an approximately 1 - 2 miles round trip hike that includes traversing uneven terrain. Please plan to wear appropriate footwear, sun protection, and bring plenty of water.
Meeting location for the tour and a full description of what to bring and expect will be emailed to registered participants prior to the tour.
